English HeritageEnglish Heritage own many properties in England that are open to visitors throughout the year. There are a variety of types of sites - coastland, areas of natural beauty, ruins, country homes etc. Some of these are open to visitors thoughout the year and are free. Other have restricted opening and sometimes cost to enter. You can get an annual membership so that you can visit their sites free of charge. Occasionaly they hold events at their sites where an entrace fee is charged, sometimes members can get in free or at a reduced rate
